Art and wine

Bernd Hagemann , painter, graphic artist, sculptor, was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and studied art history in Bonn. His art does not want to be "understood" and the artist does not want to "say anything" with it. It does not want to "show" anything, change viewing habits, or feign "meaning" through physical size. The artist neither sees his art as a mere "l'art pour l'art", nor does he understand it as a "disinterested pleasure". For him, the creative act is central, which, free of all demands and intentions, allows the "right" image to grow as if by magic: the work must therefore emerge almost by itself: action in non-action. The beauty of the world, the miracle of life, the secret of color, the riddle of form.
